Novel Mensa wine & book pairing during National Book WeekThe words “ My Book Club Reads Wine Labels " comes to mind when I think of the genius idea behind #MensaWines I must admit, in January this year I really was a super reader by my standards. In the 1st month alone a read 2 books was a lot. That number quickly dwindle down to a few chapters a months and here I find myself in August with only 2 ½ books to my name. I take pleasure in reading a hard copy as I relish in that new book smell unfortunately one of the disadvantages of this that you have to remember to take the book along with you wherever you go with that being said, the book either gets lost or damaged.
The 2018 Sommeliers Selection listed wines announced
The Sommeliers Selection is the only South African wine competition judged solely by a panel of South Africa’s top sommeliers, in categories fashioned around the perfect varietals for a restaurant wine menu.
This year, more than 300 wines were entered into the contest which was held in Cape Town in mid-June.
