Eikendal Winery Announces the Release of their Highly Anticipated 2023 Rosé

Eikendal Winery is proud to announce the release of their latest vintage of Rosé, the Eikendal Rosé 2023. This wine is a unique blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault, and is sure to delight wine enthusiasts with its crisp, and refreshing taste. The wine also sports a brand-new, sleek and elegant label design.

Eikendal is known for its exceptional farming methods, using sustainable farming practices to produce high-quality grapes. “We’re thrilled to introduce our 2023 Rosé to the South African wine market,” says Aldert Nieuwoudt, winemaker at Eikendal. He explains that this wine holds a special place in his heart as it’s the first wine he’s personally made and bottled on the farm. The grapes used for this Rosé are grown in small quantities on the farm and specifically reserved for this wine.

Eikendal is located in the heart of Stellenbosch , a region renowned for its exceptional wines. “We believe that because we love what we do and work together as a team, from the vineyard to the cellar, our wines reflect the true excellence of Eikendal” says Nieuwoudt. “That’s why we place such a strong emphasis on viticulture and sustainable farming practices. Eikendal believes in preserving the natural balance of the vineyards. They use cover crops and crop rotation to enrich the soil naturally. Nieuwoudt and his viticulture team meticulously monitor the vineyards and ensure that the vines are healthy and disease-free.

“Our vineyard team is highly skilled and passionate about what they do,” explains Nieuwoudt. “Willem van Kerwel has spent more than 25 years teaching his team about the vineyards of Eikendal and knows every block like the palm of his hand. They work tirelessly to ensure that every grape is of the highest quality and that the vineyard ecosystem is healthy and thriving.”
