I joined the Riebeek Wine Valley company team to share in the excitement of the highly anticipated launch of the Kasteelberg Chenin Blanc MCC. Born from a love for this place and its people, Riebeek Valley Wine Co. presented their new Kasteelberg Chenin Blanc MCC with pride. This range is a passion project where hand-selected grapes from the foothills of Kasteelberg mountain become the pinnacle of their winemakers’ art.

Uncanny Wines are South Africa’s very first certified wines packaged in cans. These premium quality wines in a beautifully designed 250ml package are the proudly South African response to the skyrocketing international trend of canned wine. “We’ve combined South Africa’s established winemaking traditions with brilliant innovation and great design to create an exclusive, premium quality wine offering in environmentally friendly packaging,” explains Arnold Vlok, co-owner of Uncanny.

Nothing excites me more than Chardonnay In my wine glass, the versatility excites me especially when the wine is showcases the winemakers flair   Chardonnay is a relatively neutral grape with a flexible character, it derives the bulk of its flavours from terroir, where it reflects the growing conditions with terrific fidelity, and barrelling, where it’s intrinsic flavour needs to be coaxed out. Creatively it’s a blank canvass for winemakers and that’s an exciting space to exhibit the craft of winemaking.
