The 40th annual Nedbank Cape Winemakers Guild (CWG) Auction is set to take place on Friday 4 and Saturday, 5 October 2024 at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West. As always, we will be counting down to this South African wine calendar highlight with several events and tasting opportunities. 

During the second half of August, the Guild will be hosting two Showcases – one at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC 2) in Cape Town and the other at the Nedbank Atrium in Sandton, Johannesburg. 

These informal, walk-around tasting events offer wine enthusiasts the opportunity to sample the 2024 Nedbank Cape Winemakers Guild Auction wines and interact with the winemakers themselves. Also available for tasting will be past auction wines and flagship wines from Guild Members.

The Showcases will feature a silent auction of signed, past CWG and flagship wines to raise funds for the Guild’s Protégé Programme, and light snacks will be served. 

 

Tickets will be available for purchase on Quicket from 31 May 2024.

  • 22 August: Cape Town Showcase, CTICC2
  • 27 August: Pretoria Country Club Tasting and Braai (Limited tickets available for purchase)
  • 28 August: Joburg Showcase, Nedbank Atrium, Sandton
